That’s why I have dedicated my life’s work to the nonprofit sector and am eager to advance your organization’s mission, or your career. Whether you are just starting out or have years of experience, I am excited to get to partner with you to achieve your goals.
About Ruth
Ruth began her nonprofit career in California where she worked for two large hospices and an educational organization before becoming chief development officer for a national organization based in Louisiana. She moved to Sarasota in 2019 to join Senior Friendship Centers as their first chief development officer and most recently served as president at Pines of Sarasota Foundation.
Over the last two decades Ruth has established thriving development programs by focusing on relationship-building with donors, the community, boards, and her teams. She has well rounded expertise in all areas of fundraising and nonprofit leadership, including donor cultivation and stewardship, strategic planning, and board governance.
Prior to her work in the nonprofit arena, she worked in political campaign management and fundraising for a U.S. Congressman and Senator before joining an internationally renowned political consulting firm where she led campaigns for a variety of candidates across the country.
Ruth earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Central Arkansas. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has received certificates in nonprofit management from Louisiana State University and fundraising management from the esteemed Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
